COVID-19 Update from Discount Glass President, Will Bright
We sincerely appreciate the concern, patience and leeway many of our vendors and customers have shown us this past week. We are all healthy and have no employees showing any signs of symptoms or illness. For the time being Discount Glass is trying to operate as normally as possible with some new added features.
- Auto glass technicians are sanitizing themselves after each install and thoroughly washing heir hands and any parts of the vehicle. We have implemented a "no in-person signature" rule and are emailing you a copy of your paperwork to sign and scan or send a picture of it back to minimize contact.
- The same process goes for residential. Our technicians are asked to keep as much distance from homeowners as possible. We ask that you please not wait in the room or watch the install simply for contact reasons.
- Our commercial crews are often the only ones on job-sites and distanced from most other trades. We are moving forward as quickly as possible on all ongoing large projects. We are finding that we are waiting on other trades on multiple jobs at the moment.
We are doing everything we can to get all parts installed as quickly as possible, and safely! We are experiencing some delays from manufacturers as they are either having employee layoffs or minimum crews on assembly lines. Shower Enclosures have been taking up to 12 days for delivery of the glass as opposed to 7-8 days. We ask that you please be patient as we are doing everything we can.
We are staying optimistic for not only our health but also our business. We are a family owned, small business with many employees with families of their own. If there ever was a time to support LOCALLY owned businesses, it is now.
